eLVT™ (Electronic Low Vision Testing) from M&S Technologies, Inc.

  • eLVT™ (Electronic Low Vision Testing)

Description

Over 2 years in development, the eLVT system was co-produced and engineered by Dr. Ian Bailey of UC Berkeley and M&S Technologies. It utilizes the Berkeley Rudimentary Low Vision Test and extends the eETDRS protocol to include tumbling E’s, linear sine gratings and black/white discrimination.

Another industry first from M&S, the eLVT system eliminates the need to count fingers or detect hand motion for vision assessment and allows the clinician to determine the visual thresholds of low vision patients with accuracy and repeatability. This automated protocol eliminates all subjectivity in determining visual acuity levels, technician bias and interpretation of subject responses. eLVT operates seamlessly with any Smart System; product or can be used as a stand-alone product for clinical trials or research and development.

Our Smart System; software is custom written by our own software developers with input from leading practitioners. It provides accurate, consistent and reliable performance to help doctors provide exceptional patient care. The robust design allows for easy upgrades for future enhancements and gives the user the flexibility to quickly change the layout of the remote control, key pad or our new wireless tablet to accommodate specific needs. If you ever need assistance you’ll always speak to a real person, well-trained in every aspect of our software and hardware, whether you purchased a Smart System recently or one of our very first systems in 1991.
